Canadian Triple Crown Winner and Horse of the Year
WITH APPROVAL to stand at Lanwades in 2006.

WITH APPROVAL (Caro – Passing Mood, by Buckpasser) has been acquired by Lanwades Stud, Newmarket, and will join Champions DOMEDRIVER, HERNANDO and SELKIRK there for season 2006.

WITH APPROVAL was previously the property of a syndicate and stood at Brookdale Farm, Kentucky.

WITH APPROVAL was the unbeaten Champion 2-year-old of Canada in 1988 (won Display S, 1,600m, et al); he then went on to capture the Canadian Triple Crown (Queen’s Plate – 2,000m dirt; Breeders’ Stakes – 2,400m turf, and Prince of Wales’s Stakes – 2,100m dirt) at 3 years, again being voted Champion as well as Horse of the Year. At 4 years, his wins included the Gr.2 Bowling Green Hcp (turf), in which he set a new world record for the distance (1900m) and the Gr.2 Tidal Hcp, as well as a close 2nd in the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Turf.

He recorded 13 wins and 6 places from 23 starts at 2, 3 and 4 years – on turf and dirt – for a total of $3 million.

At stud, WITH APPROVAL is the sire of the winners of 1,287 races and nearly $33 million (to date), almost exactly evenly divided between earnings on Turf and Dirt. His Stakes Winners include Champion TALKIN MAN (himself sire of 2004 Breeders Cup Turf winner BETTER TALK NOW) and LASTING APPROVAL; also 2005 Graded stakes winners SILVERFOOT and T.H. APPROVAL and a lifetime total of at least 76 individual two-year-old winners.

WITH APPROVAL’s racing progeny have earned him a lifetime Average Earnings Index (AEI) of 1.51 and a Comparative Earnings Index (CI) of 1.81.
