Brookdale Grad Serengeti Empress (2,f, Alternation/Havisham) quickly captured the lead on Sunday in the Ellis Park Debutante Stakes and never looked back to win by 13 and 1/2 lengths.  Coming off a 4th place finish in the G3 Schuylerville Stakes in Saratoga, Serengeti Empress put herself back in contention hopefully for the G1 Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies in November.   She now has 2 wins in 3 starts and earnings of $71,310. She was purchased by Brookdale at the Keeneland November Sale 2016 and was sold at the 2017 Keeneland September Sale to current owner Joel Politi.
