The Seitz family has been selling horses for over 25 years. During that period, Brookdale has remained a steady force as the economic pendulum has swung between good times and bad. Not only do we sell as agent for outside clients, we also own and breed many of our own horses. Because of this, we know what it means to take risks. We're not just a sales agency, we're active owner/breeders who understand how difficult the horse business can be at times and the sacrifices involved.
Because we sell good horses:
Brookdale Sales has sold nearly 150 stakes winners over three decades and nearly as many stakes producing mares. We sell at all the major auctions in Kentucky and offer consignments in New York and Canada. We have developed excellent working relationships with the sales companies, as well as the buyers. We travel to Europe several times a year and have developed strong ties to many European buyers. This has added another dimension to our consignments.
Because we're not interested in volume or being the biggest consignor:
We keep our consignments manageable so we always have time for our clients. We don't believe in pushing a client off onto a "B-team" advisor. We understand we're dealing with peoples' livelihoods so we want to be available when clients have questions or concerns.
Because horses in our consignments sell well:
$3.6 million, $2.2 million, $1.9 million, $1.6 million, $1.3 million $1.125 million. The list goes on and on.
