Cigar Street wins Skip Away Stakes (G3)

Cigar Street (4, c, Street Sense/ Arcadiana) posted his first graded stakes win on Saturday by winning the Skip Away Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park. The colt sat just off the lead behind Take Charge Indy and Pants on Fire until the stretch and then pulled away to win by two lengths. The colt now has 4 wins in 6 starts with earnings of $182,138. Cigar Street was bred in Kentucky by Marvin Delfiner, Dr. Ted Folkerth and Brookdale Farm.

 

 


Brookdale Grad Kaminari Shines in Gold Coast Stakes

Kaminari (4,f, First Samurai/Bartok’s Blithe) posted her first stakes win yesterday after capturing the Gold Coast Stakes at Delta Downs. The four year old filly was making her stakes debut and won by three-quarters of a length.  She now has 3 wins in 8 lifetime starts and earnings of $85,744.  Owned by Pocket Aces Racing LLC, Kaminari was bred in Kentucky by Spring Ridge Farm and Lochlow Farm and is a graduate of the 2010 Keeneland September Sale.


Falling Sky Entered in Tampa Bay Derby (G2)

Falling Sky (3,c, Lion Heart/ Sea Dragoness) will face 8 other three year olds on Saturday in the Tampa Bay Derby (G2).  In his last start, Falling Sky won the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) at Tampa Bay. Falling Sky was bred in Pennslyvania by Copper Penny Stables LLC and is a graduate of the 2010 Keeneland November Sale




Cigar Street Wins Again At Gulfstream

Cigar Street (4,c, Street Sense/ Arcadiana) won again on Sunday at Gulfstream Park. This was the colt’s second win in as many starts since returning to the track after a layoff due to an injury. He now has 3 wins in 5 lifetime starts and earnings of $122,138.  The 4 year old colt was bred in Kentucky by the partnership of Marvin Delfiner, Ted Folkerth, and Brookdale Farm.



Brookdale Grad Falling Sky Enters Derby Picture with Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) Win

Falling Sky (3, c, Lion Heart/Sea Dragoness) earned his first graded stakes win on Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs in the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3).  It was the colt’s first attempt at a two turn race after previously competing in 6 and 6 1/2 furlongs races, but the distance was not a problem as he led the entire race. The colt now has 3 wins in 4 lifetime starts and earnings of $164,800.  Falling Sky was bred in Pennslyvania by Copper Penny Stables LLC and is a graduate of the 2010 Keeneland November Sale.
