Brookdale Grad Golden Brown Breaks Maiden at Parx

Brookdale Grad Golden Brown (3, c, Offlee Wild/Suze Sunrise) broke his maiden on Saturday at Parx.  After finishing 2nd in both of his previous starts, the three year old took the lead in the stretch and won by two lengths.  Golden Brown has now earned $45,000 in just three career starts.  He was bred in New Jersey by Esther de Jong and is a graduate of the 2016 Fasig-Tipton KY October Yearling Sale.



SHINING COPPER Captures Ft. Lauderdale Stakes (G2) (VIDEO)

Shining Copper (8,g, Aragorn (IRE)/La Minuta (CHI) was determined down the stretch on Saturday to go wire to wire in the G2 Ft. Lauderdale Stakes at Gulfstream Park.  He now has 9 wins in 32 starts and has hit the board 11 additional times and has earned $817,449 for owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey.  He was bred in Kentucky by International Equities Holding Inc and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm.


Brookdale Grad Anna Ciannello Captures 1st Classic Win

In a span of just seven days, Anna Seitz-Ciannello and her It’s All About the Girls Syndicate, have accomplished something very rare in the racing world.  Their filly GLOBAL GLAMOUR captured the Flight Stakes (G1) on October 1st and another Group One win just 7 days later in the Thousand Guineas (G1).

Global Glamour was purchased at the 2015 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for AUS $65,000 .  She has won three out of her 5 career starts and has earned  AUS $ 641,500.

WAR STORY third in West Virginia Derby (G2)

WAR STORY (3, g, Northern Afleet/Belle Watling) finished 3rd on Saturday in the G2 West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer. He was closing quickly down the stretch but just ran out of time to catch the leaders.  War Story now has earned $343,600 in just 8 starts. He was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain III and born and raised at Brookdale Farm.  He is a graduate of the 2013 Keeneland September Sale.



Cigar Street Draws Post Position 2 in the Grade 1 Breeder’s Cup Classic

Solar Slew the dam of Cigar  was purchased in foal to Deputy Minister by Brookdale, Marvin Delfiner and Ted Folkerth at the 2000 Keeneland November sale. The resulting filly was a foal by the name of Arcadiana, Solar Slew’s final foal. Arcadiana has gone on to a productive broodmare career producing five winners including Cigar Street in 2009. Cigar Street (Street Sense/Arcadiana) was bred in Kentucky by Brookdale, Marvin Delfiner and Ted Folkerth. He was sold in the 2011 Keeneland April 2YO in training sale by Niall Brennan. Brookdale wishes the connections best of luck on Saturday in the Breeder’s Cup Classic.
