Brookdale Grads Falling Sky and Duff Named PA Champions

Brookdale Grads Duff (3,c, Candy Ride (ARG)/To The Brim) and Falling Sky (5,h, Lion Heart/Sea Dragoness) were named 2014 Pennsylvania Champion Two Year Old Male (Duff) and  Champion Male Sprinter (Falling Sky) of Year this week.

Last year, Duff hit the board 5 out of his 6 starts, including 3 wins and earnings of $133,220.  Two of his wins came in stakes races, the Mark McDermott Stakes (75k) at Presque Isle Downs and the Christopher Elser Memorial Stakes (75k) at Parx. Duff was bred by Two Sisters Farm and is a graduate of the 2013 Keeneland September Sale.

Falling Sky won the G3 Gulfstream Park Sprint Stakes  and Donald LeVine Memorial Handicap (100k) last year as well as finishing 3rd in the G1 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap at Saratoga.  He was bred by Copper Penny Stables LLC and is a graduate of the 2010 Keeneland November Sale.



Brookdale Grad Shaishee Wins Mahab Al Shimaal (G3) in Dubai

Shaishee (5,g, Indian Charlie/Hatpin) won the G3 Mahab Al Shimaal in Dubai on Saturday. In years past this race has been used as a prep for the G1 Dubai Golden Shaheen that is run at the end of the month.  He now has 4 wins in 22 starts and earnings of $255,367.  Shaishee was bred in Virginia by Audley Farm and was purchased  at the 2011 Keeneland September Sale for $325,000.

Ready for Rye Impressive in Fasig-Tipton Swale Stakes (G2)

Ready for Rye (3, g, City Zip/Embroidery) pulled away in the stretch on Saturday to win the G2 Fasig-Tipton Swale Stakes by 2 and 3/4 lengths.  Ready for Rye has now hit the board in all 4 of his starts and has earnings of $203,360.  He was bred in Kentucky by Soc. Agr. Santa Elena De Chimbarongo LTDA and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm. He was purchased by Chalk Racing at the 2013 Keeneland September Sale for 70,000.

 

 

 



Brookdale Grad War Story 2nd in Risen Star Stakes (G2)

War Story (3, g, Northern Afleet/Belle Watling) finished second on Saturday in the Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes at the Fair Grounds. In just four career starts, War Story has earnings of $168,600 and has never finished off the board. He was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm. He was purchased for $90,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September Sale.




Brother Pat Wins Again At Tampa Bay

Brother Pat (6,g, Any Given Saturday/Anyhow) won again at Tampa Bay Downs yesterday in a Starter Handicap going wire to wire. He now has 8 wins in 31 starts and earnings of $151,740.  He was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm.  Brother Pat is a graduate of the 2010 Keeneland September Sale.
