Shirley She Can (Rock Hard Ten/Party Chatter) made it two in a row with a win yesterday at Delaware in an allowance race over the turf. Bred by Fox Straus Line LTD, Shirley She Can was sold by Brookdale Sales at the Keeneland September 2008 sale for $160,000.
Brookdale Graduate, Smooth Talkin’ Man (Silver Charm/Runaway Spy), won an allowance race at Penn National on 6/22/10. Smooth Talkin’ Man was bred be Ramona DiVivo and has earned just under $130,000 in his career.
Signature Red (Bernstein/Irish and Foxy) won a $80,000 Allowance Saturday at Woodbine. Signature Red was bred by Tussey Thoroughbreds and is a half to hip 63 (Half Ours/Irish and Foxy) in the Fasig-Tipton July Selected Yearlings Sale.
Brookdale Sales would like to congratulate Convocation (Pulpit) and his connections for their second place in Friday’s G3 Westchester Stakes at Belmont. Convocation sold for $150,000 at the 2007 Keeneland September Sale.
Open Mind, a graduate of Brookdale Sales and daughter of Deputy Minister, who was 1988 champion juvenile filly and 1989 champion three year old filly was nominated yesterday for the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame. Results of the ballot will be announced May 28, 2010.

Brookdale Grad DANCING IN SILKS (Black Minnaloushe), a 2005 KEENOV weanling owned by Ken Kinakin, placed in his first start since winning the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, taking 3rd in the Palos Verdes Handicap (Gr II) at Santa Anita on January 23.
