Ready for Rye 2nd in Spectacular Bid Stakes

Ready for Rye (3,g, City Zip/Embroidery) was second on Saturday in the Spectacular Bid Stakes (100k) at Gulfstream Park.  He now has earnings of $80,600 in just three lifetime starts. Ready for Rye was bred in Kentucky by Soc. Agr. Santa Elena De Chimbarongo LTDA and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm. He was purchased at the Keeneland September 2013 Sale for $70,000 by Chalk Racing.

Coral Beach Breaks Maiden at Aqueduct

Coral Beach (3,f, Tale of the Cat/Coral Genius) started the 2015 year by breaking her maiden at Aqueduct yesterday. She was able to overcome a poor start to pull away in the stretch to win by 1 and a quarter lengths. Coral Beach was bred in Kentucky by International Equities Holding Inc. and races for Sumaya U.S. Stable.


War Story wins an Allowance at Fair Grounds

War Story wins an Allowance by 2 3/4 lengths on Sunday at Fair Grounds in Race 8.  He was bumped at the start but was well placed down the backstretch. War Story is a chestnut gelding by Northern Afleet out of Belle Watling by Pulpit.  The Brookdale graduate was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain III. Congratulations to the winning connections.


Brookdale Grad U.S.S. O’Brien Wins Golden Beach H. at Gulfstream

U.S.S. O’Brien (3,f,Empire Maker/Garden City) led wire to wire yesterday in the Golden Beach Handicap (50k) at Gulfstream Park to post her first stakes win.  She now has 3 wins in 9 lifetime starts and earnings of $139,450.  She was bred in Kentucky by Dr. Ted Folkerth and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm. She is a graduate of the 2012 Keeneland September Sale.

Brookdale Grad Blingismything Wins Again At Del Mar

Blingismything (4,f, Arch/Dancing General) won again on Thursday at Del Mar in an Allowance/Optional Claiming Race. The four year old filly was making just her 2nd start of the year and was able to get up in the stretch to win by 1 and a 1/4 lengths.  In 5 lifetime starts the filly has three wins and has never finished off the board with earnings now of $134,080.  Blingismything was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm. She was purchased in the 2011 Keeneland September Sale for $60,000 by Class Racing.

Protonico (3, c, Giant’s Causeway/Alpha Spirit) is entered in the Grade 1 Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs on Friday. Last seen out winning the G3 Discovery Handicap at Aqueduct, Protonico will face 8 others in the race.
