Brookdale Grad Blingismything Wins Again At Del Mar

Blingismything (4,f, Arch/Dancing General) won again on Thursday at Del Mar in an Allowance/Optional Claiming Race. The four year old filly was making just her 2nd start of the year and was able to get up in the stretch to win by 1 and a 1/4 lengths.  In 5 lifetime starts the filly has three wins and has never finished off the board with earnings now of $134,080.  Blingismything was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm. She was purchased in the 2011 Keeneland September Sale for $60,000 by Class Racing.


Brookdale Raised Protonico Entered in the Clark Handicap (G1)

Protonico (3, c, Giant’s Causeway/Alpha Spirit) is entered in the Grade 1 Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs on Friday. Last seen out winning the G3 Discovery Handicap at Aqueduct, Protonico will face 8 others in the race. He currently has 4 wins in 7 lifetime starts and earnings of $389,715.  He was bred in Kentucky by International Equities Holding, Inc. and races for Sumaya U.S. Stable.






Cigar Street Draws Post Position 2 in the Grade 1 Breeder’s Cup Classic

Solar Slew the dam of Cigar  was purchased in foal to Deputy Minister by Brookdale, Marvin Delfiner and Ted Folkerth at the 2000 Keeneland November sale. The resulting filly was a foal by the name of Arcadiana, Solar Slew’s final foal. Arcadiana has gone on to a productive broodmare career producing five winners including Cigar Street in 2009. Cigar Street (Street Sense/Arcadiana) was bred in Kentucky by Brookdale, Marvin Delfiner and Ted Folkerth. He was sold in the 2011 Keeneland April 2YO in training sale by Niall Brennan. Brookdale wishes the connections best of luck on Saturday in the Breeder’s Cup Classic.
